Three Day Festival of Footy

Thursday, 27 February 2020 - 8:00am to Saturday, 29 February 2020 - 8:00pm

The NRL has relocated the "Battle of the West" trial game between the Panthers and Eels from Penrith to Bega as part of a three-day festival of footy to help support the area hit hard by recent bushfires.

The NRL rivals will face off on February 29 and both clubs will have their squads in the region for three days for a series of player-led community activities and public events in nearby towns.

Both teams will be based in Bega for three days, with players to take part in public events.

The NSWRL has worked closely with the NRL to relocate matches from the Andrew Johns Cup (under 16s) and Laurie Daley Cup (under 18s) between the Monaro Colts and Illawarra South Coast Dragons from Wollongong to Bega on Saturday 29 February . The matches will be curtain-raisers to the trial match between NRL clubs Penrith Panthers and Parramatta Eels.

Tickets to the game will go on sale via Ticketek from February 10.

All profits from ticket sales and donations made through Ticketek will go to the Salvation Army's Rural Assistance Appeal, which helps rural communities and individuals who have been affected by the drought and bushfires.

NRL officials said Ticketek were waiving all service and delivery charges for tickets to the game.

Details around meet and greets and public training runs will be announced as they are released.
